Someone screwing with my site, help please

Ok, this is a really weird situation.

I just opened a new web site, www.host@alloy@.com
So I found this web site is redirecting to my site, via a 301 redirect, someone who I am not affiliated with or authorized to redirect my domain in any way. The domain in question is clubgamexk.net. The owner has fake Whois information posted.

At first, I was thinking maybe this person is trying to sabotage my search engine rankings. But now, it seems a lot deeper than that. When you do a traceroute, the site appears to have the same IP address as the host@alloy site, which it doesn't, and clubgamexk.net does not have any DNS entries on my server whatsoever. It appears they are abusing everydns.net and somehow spoofing DNS entries to make it look like the site is on my server.

Can anyone give me any advice as to what I can do?? It's a very sticky weird situation, but this guy is obviously up to something.

Right, people do these often and in such a case, contact everydns.net as well as the as the registrar of the domain i.e. hostgator and ask them to remove the A record and suspend the domain resp. Just an FYI, you cannot do anything from your server side. You need to contact the above to companies.

remember to when always picking a password, choose a long password with random letter and numbers, never use a keyword or phrase for your password.

If you know they are re-directing why not just pick up the referrer information and then redirect the visitor to a page on your web site with a message, or to some other site. Redirecting to a controvesial site usually puts a stop to this sort of thing.

There is nothing you can do to prevent someone from redirecting from their site to yours. You can try to contact the relevant parties but that will often not result in anything. As RonBrown mentions, if you can see the referrer URL in your logs, you can write a redirect rule to send those elsewhere, e.g. fbi.gov's online security pages.
