Ok, I see all these posts with different amts per click, and all this keyword talk and I am confused?? If someone didn't find your site from searching a particular keyword, then how do they determine the CPC? If everyone is saying that the amt you get per click is becasue of the keywords, what happens if direct traffic from returning clients click? How do they figure out teh CPC then? OR, is there a different set of keywords per ads???

Please someone set this straight for me, thanks

It's not about the keywords they use to find your page, it's about the keywords that you have on your page that Adsense uses to display related ads. It's the content your site has, and in no way has anything to do with how people get to your site.

Google has now instituted personalized search, so ads can show up related to a person's search and browsing history. However, I opted out of this since I want my ads to be relevant to my sites, particularly when I pick niches with high paying keywords.
