    I would suggest Breaking Bad

    The seasons are pretty short but the shows are completely awesome. There is so much suspense that you are on the edge of your seat wanting more each and every week. Season 3 just finished. I would suggest getting your hands on the first two seasons and just digging in.

    watch heroes. it had a great start. i wasn't able to continue watching it though. too lazy to dload.

    The Vampire Diaries is more for girls, but 4400 is great! I've seen the whole show and it's wonderful! It's totally thrilling!

    Dexter is the one show I recommend everyone check out. But if you want less blood, more laughs, check out Parks and Rec, The Community, and Modern Family. I think they're hilarious.

    This is an old thread, I wonder if the OP ended up checking out any shows? I personally LOVE Dexter, it's one of my all time favorite shows. I recently read the first book and they usually say the book is better... in this case I think it's the other way around.
