One of my sites has became a target of several hackers attacks over the last month.. After the first hack I have strengthen the security - password, permissions of files, everything I could think of.. it only 2 weeks passed - the site is hacked again..

A bit about my site: it is an increasing popularity forum. It got a decent increase in traffic over the last few month but it is still under 2000/day

I have a shared hosting and I have several sites on it.. During the first hack all sites were messed up.. During the second only one - the one with increasing popularity

Who do you think is so persistently hacking into my site. Is that a competitor site? Is that my host provider is messing up with me? or just some random russian or chinese hacker does it for fun??

I use vBulletin - is it hack safe? How I can increase security to avoid hack ins?

I had this happen to my arcade/video site. I got hacked about 6 months ago twice within 1 month and i haven't been hacked since. I am also on shared hosting and only 1 site was targeted. Both times they screwed with my index and made some javascript thing to redirect people to a different site with a virus on it.
Sorry i can't be any more help but hope your lucky like me and they don't do it again.

The hackers may have left a back door when they hacked you the first time...that's pretty common. If you haven't completely flushed your files, and re-installed from scratch, you may want to. Either that, or have a thorough security audit. Either way, I'd start by having a long conversation with your web host. Security starts with having a web host with tight security measures and policies.

I have WHM account and have several sites, and its 2nd time in 1 week that all my sites hacked, hackers inclued this java script code in my index files, which auto come back after code deletions. I am also worry about it. I just fews minutes ago talked to my hosting provider, they said this is hapenning only with your sites. However I asked them to again restore a backup of my whm a/c.

Plz anyone can suggest me a valid solution.

    Thanks in Advance.
