Someone just sold me a domain that is on-hold by dispute according to Godaddy. I paid $1500 for this domain what does this mean? Am i going to lose the name?

what's On-Hold by dispute status? can you disclose the domain name?
if godaddy placed an hold on the name how did you even got the opportunity to acquire it? shouldn't be the name on a frozen mode?

Yeah, doesn't make sense, can you give out more information?. :confused:The only thing I can think off is that you were sold a stolen domain name and GD (probably being the registrar where the domain is) has put a hold on it. Put a STOP payment on your transaction ASAP until you know what's going on!.

That's the only thing i can think of: domain theft. If your domain is listed below then you are out of luck.

The domain is EducationWorld.com When I was buying the name from the guy it only had 1 blank page and nothing else. As soon as it got into my account it said on hold for dispute and then that whole site just popped up and started working. I only wanted it because it was a PR7. It sounds like the guy I bought it from is trying to scam me by putting it on hold after I paid.
