Hi I believe that that someone took a copy of my very well doing in google index website and put a copy on his server under a different domain (with my links, my contact, my tel number, everything, etc.) After that, they reported me to google for duplicate content. Google took my domain out of the index and now its nowhere to be found. Google did not ban me but I can not even find one link anywhere in the index. I used to score 2-6th place on the first page under at least 8 major competitive keywords. I know who did it but how do I fix this?? Do I call his host? Do you think they will remove the content? He will not remove the website content, neither I have no idea what do do to remove the content from that fony website. Do I do the same to his major domain?? and report him?? I guess that is what Im left with. How do I find out what other domains he has hosted on the same host? I know that he has about at least other 12 domains? I would love to screw with him as much as he is screwing with my domain. Mark
If the site is still up contact their hosting company and also file a DMCA complaint. Also if you use cpanel and you know the IP of this site go in and block it. Once you do this anytime it refers over to your actual site you should see a 403 code on your server logs.
yeah, that's a good idea. Don't do the same, it will never end and both of you will damage your websites
My website is ROYALUXURY dot com. (sorry, I cant make a link yet) His stolen domain is NEWYORKPARTYLIMO dot com. It doesnt even have a PR. We both have the same host so I will be calling them today. Who knows, he may have more than just one of these duplicates.
What a strange thing. It's also odd that you're both on the same host. Could it be a hosting related issue? Are you on a shared IP and shared server?
I spoke to the hosting company and they can not do anything to help me out. They said the same thing, DMCA. But actually, I dont have any copy rights set on my domain. I never copyrighted the material officially with DMCA. And I dont know if any attorney would even bother with this. Well, that domain does not refer to mine. All the images are stolen and uploaded again on his domain. This is a mirror site. Either way, I reported it to google. Lets hope that they will put me back into index. At first I thought it was a google dance, google up date but after 2 mts its not coming back up. So this must be it.
We are sharing the same host. I dont know about the server. Hosting company will not disclose that info unless they are subpoena. They will not remove it unless subpoena. I guess Im left with a choice of doing the same exact thing to his domain.
Man, I'd find a new host. Ofcourse, that would mess with your ranking and SERPs pretty bad. Google would be a good route to go in terms of complaining. It also seems like it would be a copyright infringement, so there might be a complaint there. I'm not sure to whom though.
That would be a good idea too. Send a threatening letter to the webhost and the owner of the other site.

I usually keep my registration info private. All my domain reg info for all my site is private. So is he. Listen, I know this guy. I already confronted him and he does not want to take that content off. His main website is starcitylimo dot com.
Well, go with the lawyer route. If needed, open a civil lawsuit in your city against him. The Who Is info looks odd though.
if u have reported to google, then it should not be a problem, since they have all the data of when the pages have been indexed, it will be a walk in the park for them to ban that guy, u have to be patient, of course when u report to google make sure u give both the urls and also use the word duplicate content few times in your report, since automated bots identify the main content of the report and act accordingly, soon u will get a result
Geting him baned should be no problem but getting my site back in google index will be a little harder without a google human intracation.
Call the hosting company back and tell them if they do not remove the site that is copying yours that you will file suit against them. BY LAW if they are in the US they are required to remove this copyrighted material assuming you can prove that the domain being copied is yours. ( One Good Way To Show It Was Yours Is The Cache Date If It Has One From Google Compared To The Site Copying You) Let them know if they dont remove the offending site within 24 hours the next person they will hear from is your attorney and you will seek an injunction against them to have the hosting company shut down till this issue can be resolved by court order. If this is a business site also let them know that you will seek damages against them for loss of business and reputation. As one poster already stated, the path to least resistants is calling an attorney paying them $100 and having them send the site owner and the hosting company a letter demanding this be removed before legal action is taken. For all you know the same guy that copied your site is the hosting company, I have seen it before.
Google should have done this in the first place, when they took one site down after first report of duplicate content. So not sure how good they are at detecting what is the original vs. duplicate, or whether they even checked at all.
Well, hosting company is unaccessable by phone (I know shitty company). They told me that they can not do anything to his website without any subpoena. They told me to seek professional help - you know what that means. The only way they will remove is by DMCA. This is what they said: "Should you supply a DMCA notification for content, we can request that duplicate content be removed from any other domains on his account." If I start threatning a hosting company they will give me hell with servers, having my site up and working, etc. You know how it is. I rather not threaten hosting company but definitelly the other domain.
