moneybookers is your best bet for large amount of money, i have successfully transferred over 1000$ through moneybookers

 

although, there is a one time refundable $1-2.99 verification charge to your card. and note the refunded amount will be credited to your moneybrokers account instead of back to your cc

 

so does paypal, mate. i've average around 5k monthly for the past year without any issues

 

brother paypal is good... But not in all cases. Its nt available for some countries just like my country

 

You have a point there, mate. Being an American company, they are quite particular about sectors that does not provide adequate protection against money laundering.

 

If ur in the US and the amount is under $999 You can use Answer&Question from Western Union and you dont need a ID to pick it up. Im not sure if it works in other countries beside USA but you can try.

 

I prefer wire transfer.

The person can pay via paypal without having a paypal account. I would recomment this as its secure for both parties up to $3k I think.
One word of caution though, I have been through a similar situation, a client wanted to send me a deposit for me to commence work for him. He didn't want to use paypal either. There was much to and fro, he wanted my bank details (I didn't oblige) and eventually he gave me cc details of someone else (foregin name, different details etc - totally dodgy). I wouldn't comply. Turns out the dude was a con artist. I was pretty keen to secure the job (big dollars) but went with my gut feeling and did some investigating, glad I did because as soon as I called him on it - he vanished, never to be heard of again.
Be aware folks, it's a big wide web out there and unfortunately some people have some ethical lessons to learn.
PayPal is user friendly and safe, if someone doesn't want to use it, you have to wonder why.

Yeah, definitely use PayPal if you can, it will be the most secure method for your transaction.

 

I dont think paypal is more secure than WIRE

 

How about this!!!

Go to walmart and go to the Money center. Get you a prepaid visa/mc. Get the sender/buyer to goto the same place buy buy a reload pack. He will have to buy 2 of them because they only allow you to load $500 at a time I believe.

After he buys it, he gives you the code to the packs. Then you can load the money to your card. Then goto the ATM and bam!!!
