    Hello,
today while looking in my reffer log, i saw a referrer that shocked me. My site is the one in my siggy with an extension of .com but the reffering one is http://mytimekiller.org so i checked this site out and as it turned out, all the images, games and links on there point to my site.
What do you guys think i should do? Should i keep the free traffic and let this person eat up a little of my bandwidth or report the person. If i were to report this person, how would i do it? I think i should just use the hotlinking feature to kill the site.

Well, you can report the person if you have not given any permission and for someone to register a domain name pretty much like yours shows that he is definitely up to no good.

If you are using Cpanel, you could enable the 'Hotlink Protection' so that only your sites can use your contents.

If your worried about your bandwidth you can use .htaccess or as eddy said use CPanel's Hotlink Protection.

I would just contact the owner of the other site and work things out.

I think the link correction is the best idea because anyone clicking would wind up having to navigate your site. .htaccess will just shut him down but you actually have an opportunity to grab back the traffic he's stealing.

This has only been done to steal your bandwidth - I would have no hesitation to do some nasty stuff to him and re-direct any referrals from his site to the most disgusting pR0n I could find.

As they have registered a domain similar to you, and are actually using your resources they are scum - so don't hesitate to deny them access to your resources.

it is also why i try to register all of the similar domain names to the sites i am using as it limits the affects of this.
