    Hello,

I sell some premium themes for a popular CMS. Today I was surprised to see a website which is selling my themes at half or even low price. This is product is sold under purchase license which allows single use of the product. Files are copyright to me.

What legal steps should I take?

    Please advice.

Lawyer up and have your attorney send them a C&D.. If they are operating in a different country they will most likely tell you to go away, if they respond at all..

Another option is to file a DMCA report with the Search Engines and one with their hosting company.. You can try http://who-hosts.com/ to see who their upstream provider is..

I agree with Feydakin file a report with the search engines and get their site taken down.

The Search engines are usually pretty useful with this type of complaints, talk to them and make them bury those thieves.

Very typical. Do not just send a C&D, send their host a takedown notice.

DMCA is the best way to do it. It even works for sites out of united states.

It's called a takedown notice. The DMCA does not work outside the US but many hosts will respect it based upon the fact that many copyright laws are similar and the hosts themselves don't care to further fraud when it is clear.
