G won't do anything, you'll have to contact their hosting providor or something but it all honestly since they changed some stuff you likely can't do anything. Good luck dude, hope for the best.

That's a blatant rip-off of your design. Forget Google or their provider, just send them a legal letter giving them a week to change their design.

The bummer is that their site is PR4 and your is PR0. Perhaps you could trade their SEO services for your design services and call it quits! Good luck.

If you run copyscape using your nemisis' URL you come up as a copy to his. I would investigate whose site was created first using waybackmachine and have this info at your fingertips as you begin your hunt. Since copyscate did not find copy of your site, I suspect it is relatively new.

    Good luck.

If you are sure you are the original designer (I can't judge, just have to take your word for it) and it is worth the bucks:

    * get a lawyer to send a letter to the other party concerned,
    * summon them to change layouts (as they are copyrighted by you, the original artist) within X days and ask for $1000 / day if they do not

    the result will be:
    * if they are stupid boys just ripping other sites: they will change the layout and you are fine
    * if they know what they are doing they will send a letter back: "Sue me!"

Really sueing them will only burn money, you will never win and even if you do, you will have spent a lot of time and money on your lawyer. Just forget about it and focus on what your site is about, the services, not the layout.

All the best ly2, hiring a hacker might be a good idea:) posting about it here might not be such a great idea :)

well, i already sent them a very nice and serious looking email.
also, i already posted the hire a hacker thing lol.
oh well, im just really upset. i feel raped.

also, most of the sites template is a template from template monster, i should have said that before. but the templates not what im upset about, its all the words, articles, tool, ideas, etc etc etc they have stolen form me. its just really disturbing.

perhaps im over reacting? i dont think i am, but maybe i am, am i? is this not such a big deal? nothing like this has ever happen to me so i dunno...

I do not in the least find it surprising how upset you are.

I would try legal means to get site taken down by starting with cease and desist letter to his host.

been there. done that. (getting a site copied, not raping or beiing actually raped ofcourse)

sleep on it a few days... They liked your design, they liked it that much that they ripped it! it's a compliment!

again, sit on it for a few days. money talks: if it harms your business, sue them, if not, forget about it...

don't rely on e-mail in these cases, send written letters with a confirmed message back to you (don't know how that works in the USA, but you probably have a system that works that way), that will scare them off if they are just boys playing around.

    good luck

That just stinks..internet is a really easy place to get away with fraud..Maybe they just got into your hosting account and backed up your files and used those...or your web design is a common design and someone sold it to them, even though I really like it!

Nice job with the WHOIS, which website did you get that from Frank? Most WHOIS directories don't even support that extension.
