Hi, Did you have any experiences promoting(SEO) a site in other languege than yours? For example, promoting a site in Spanish, but all your others sites are in English. To be more specific, I´m planning to pay someone to translate one of my sites from Portuguese to Spanish. I thought about this for a while and I came to the conclusion that I have nothing to lose, except by the price of translation and the domain registration. And maybe, if I could get some good SERP, I´ll get some money from adsense in a long way. Any thought? Thanks in advance, Tiago
I have put a part of my site into Spanish...I do great with SERPS in Spanish...get a decent amount of visitors, but dont really make very many sales due to the nature of my product. I would say do it...
I have a website in spanish and more than 2000 unique visitors per day, and I want to tell you that the adsense income is really low.
What about the duplicate content penalty aspect? We put a couple of our handbooks in Spanish but I blocked indexing via robots.txt to try to avoid duplicate content. Shannon
Thanks for the replies! pachecus, the avarege PPC here in Brazil is very low too, so It´ll not be different Shannon, I don´t think that duplicate content penality applies to content in different languages. I read on DP that even if you have the exact same content, but in a different html code, you won´t get penalized. One example of this is a lyrics site. Thanks again,
