There has definately been a bit of a shakearound for most terms I'm tracking.

Mid February, my site's results dropped like a rock but were all back within three days. Very strange. Saw this morning that all my main results dropped horribly again:

    #1 >> #53
    #4 >> #100+
    #17 >> #100+
    #1 >> #50
    #4 >> #17
    #1 >> #33
    #1 >> #13
    #3 >> #100+
    #4 >> #19
    #8 >> #83
    #1 >> #4
    #1 >> #100+

    And on and on...

It's not just me though, the pages don't seem to have the same results they've had. The search results overall IMO are much worse in general and I'm not referring to what happened in my site. I'm typing in some general phrases and seeing pages that should only be coming up with very specific search phrases. Are they just testing things?

yep... and it's sad there are so many spammy subdomains that cover the SERPS now.

A few days ago I was just telling a buddy how much MSN had improved but this new ALGO.... well it just sucks. (unless you like spammy results)

NO, I don't think that msn is showing better results. There are so many spammy domains and subdomains that cover the SERPS now.

Just because YOUR site dissapears from rankings doesn't mean that the search engine is suddenly shittier and inaccurate.

Usually during changes with algos/filters the really spammy stuff shows up for a while but then get filtered later. Everytime there is an update I hear the same reports, mixed because different industries and different hats. Seems like if the black hats are mad the whites are happy :)

Your sites will come back. One of my sites just came back yesterday. Ranking has improved with 50% more traffic than before. Ranking for a top 300 searched term (according to worktracker) in MSN.com.

I dont see much of an algo change here. Looking like more of a data push.

Nope, I think my spots are all intact

I'll double check now though, I had number 2 spot for 'free text' earlier.

Out of curiosity, how many of you are using co-op?

I am, and of course because of Google's fart my weight took a big dump a couple weeks ago. Thinking some of this might be related to my co-op weight.

Damn, search engines just suck this month...

Has nothing to do with COOP, I am not using it but I have problems.

Seems that we have to pay the expense of the war between MSN and Google.

Seems to me like the importance of KWs in title & url has increased. Site age may also be in play.
