Someone else running my Ads

I've run the AdSense reports in every way I can imagine and I've come to the conclusion that there is another website out there somewhere that is running ads with my AdSense ID.

There are four domains where I've added ads to. All four domains are setup as URL channels. When I add up the numbers for each of my four URL channels they don't quite match the total amount for the same date range. The total is always slightly larger.

The same happens when I add up the custom channels I have setup. The total of the custom channels doesn't match the overall totals for the same date range.

So obviously there are ads being displayed with my AdSense ID outside of the custom channels and URL channels I have setup. I haven't simply forgot about a channel or website that I have ads running on... I have been able to count to four since I was very young. :) (And yes, I've accounted for the ads that might be running here with my AdSense ID.)

So this leads me to believe that someone out there is running ads with my AdSense ID. Maybe they made a typo, or perhaps they think they are doing me a favor? Or perhaps some bot is grabbing my HTML source and displaying it on another page.

The page impressions and revenue are tiny... two or three impressions per day. And while I'm always game for more impressions, how do I know the ads are being displayed in accordance with the TOS? The ads could have "click me!" written all around them and one day I get the dreaded "Goodbye" email from Google.

Can anyone think of a way I could find out what other site might be running ads with my ID?

Still beggars belief other people are able to do this. Unbelievable.

I hope that's not what your problem is in any case.

When you say slightly higher how much are you seeing? If it is just a few it could be anything.. If it is a not insiginificant number than you are probably right.

Your language didn't really give a good idea of how many you are talking about.

I did mention it, although maybe I wasn't clear.
I'm seeing about two or three ads delivered per day. Once every couple of days there is revenue associated (just a few pennies).

try searching for a few quotes from your site in G in parenthesis and see if anything turns up. If someone stole your entire site, you can find out, if not, then contact g and see what the hell is going on. they MIGHT help.

Plenty of people have copied my content, mostly through parsing the RSS... haven't found anybody that copied enough of the raw HTML to get the ads though.

I have a similiar situation. I wish I knew what the keyword(s) were because every so often an extra dollar or so shows up. I have searched my entire hard drive for the publisher ID and didn't find it. However, I have worked on enough other sites/projects that I have no idea where it might be coming from.
