A few years back I had the same problem; someone was scraping a site of mine. I just monitored server logs and figured out the IP addresses they were using (several) and used .htaccess to block him. I also sent a C&D. No reply back, but the problem was resolved and content was removed after a few days. You might also want to look at something like "Bad Behavior" as it helps to block a lot of bots (at least when I last used it).
I never saw this happen to anyone before. Hmm! This guy is from China who copied your site. I think you might need an international attorney who specializes in copyright infringement for websites. Tough one... Good luck
So the website has been taken down by the hosting provider for the second time. Getting the indexed pages off of Google is completely a different matter. I filed the complaint with google and they took down the root URL. They left all the other pages though. It has over 6000 pages indexed and Google wants me to list every infringing page. They have to look at each page and won't just remove all the listings. You'd think they would be okay with just blacklisting a site that is obviously copied but no... they expect me to complain about each page, and then every day, go and file more complaints for the new pages indexed every day. What a waste of time for both Google and myself. I can't believe they are so stupid. I just hope the copier doesn't try again with a 3rd hosting service. What a pain. Next time I might have to add a little script that checks the URL of the site and does something if it's the wrong one
Well it looks like he has moved on to copying another forum... I guess Google will remove their broken link listings in time
Yes, as posted in the thread already (if you read it)... they tried two different hosts. Both took them down and now they are copying someone else

Well - I skimmed over the posts  Anyway - I'm curious - what would be the purpose and/or benefit for someone to do what they did with your site. YOU were making google adsense money via the site, not them. So what would the purpose be...? Kinda weird... Anyway - congrats on getting your hostaged content back J.
I have a retail website http://www.giftcollector.com; and some idiot thought it was funny to copy the entire website: images / logos / product list under gift-collector.com... we're losing customers and google hits us with duplicate content... so annoying! Thanks for logging what you did, we're going to try to do the same.
I don't know what the purpose was. I would assume he would put his own ads on it eventually. I know my Google traffic went down by about 25% around the same time, probably due to duplicate content. It has slowly started to rise again though.
