I need some help. Looks like some chinese person has copied my website 100%. What can I do?

    My site: www.plasmaled.com

    Their site www.future-leds.com

The site is 100% and for some reason google is every allowing this site to be indexed. My site is many years old, theirs is fresh. doesn't make any sense.

Please help. I see they are on dedicated host, so I have no idea who to even contact.

Contact the Datacenter. I didn't feel like doing a whois, but, are they in the US? Are you in the US? You can send DMCA notices, also to Google to get their domain removed from the index. However, that's about as far as you can take it. Are those pictures your pictures or did you take them from another site? (of the LED lights)

I don't want to list the guys details here but he is in fact chinese. He didn't even change the graphics to make it look even a LITTLE like his site. How creative of him! I know how it feels, this has happened to me before to! Just report it to his site host and send him a scary legal letter, you'll scare the egg roles right out of him! xD

there is an online police reporting. They dig the info of online legal issues and frauds and deal with it. You can explore some info about them and use their service.

    goto network-tools.com
    >choose 'trace' option
    >put the site
    > 'go'
    >u will see a list of server gateways...
at some point the list will end ...
the last site name which u get is the host of that site ...

Best course of action is, as everyone else has covered, send a DMCA notice and contact Google with enough proof to back things up. However, please do keep in mind that this is the Internet and there is a very good chance there will be nothing done about it, they can move offshore quickly with very little downtime and operate legally there. It's a shame when work like this is copied, and although I am a proud supporter of the Pirate Party this isn't what we represent ;-)

Good luck with the process mate, keep us posted on how it's going.

The site is 100% copied. I am so amazed about that. He is a Chinese guy and the server is US. So, DMCA would be the best idea as other have suggested.

That brings up a unique legal question - if he DID change the colors on the site and a few layout aspects, would it have made it legal? It would all be unique content.

Cool. Now you get even more exposure on the net. The checkout goes to your site does it not? Just like having free advertising. Your paypal account shows the same email in both sites. You should should fix your click on links up top. They do not work.
