It shows neighbouring city in India through http://ip-address-lookup-v4.com/ and I even suspect I know the person... but the information is very limited, can I trace it down to a specific location? Like a building or a house... Kindly help me

btw for all other people out there, I suggest checking on the footer of gmail for IP address

If someone accessed it then you should click on sign out of all sessions and change your password immediately.

Wow, this is the third time I've heard of someone getting their gmail hacked in just a few days.

You can not find specific location, only country and city. Try to contact google support for help.

Just change your password and that's it, because the hacker will:)

Mine was accessed about an hour ago. And they've changed the password. I have nothing.

I mean, I'm pretty sure that the person who has hacked your e-mail address knows you in some way and is most likely a person you've shared your e-mail. You could then lower the people in that city down to your acquaintances. Other than that, just make another e-mail address with a bigger and more complicated password, as from a password generator.

Sounds like a pointless activity, what you going to do knock on his house and hope he invites you in for tea and cookies?

Just change the password and check for Keyloggers or RAT's. Tracing to a house is out of the question.

lol... gmail is not at all secure...

"GMAIL has poor security as compared to Yahoo & Hotmail. I can get a password out of their database in 15 minutes. However, while trying for Yahoo & Hotmail it took me 45 minutes!" --one of my friend :D
