    Hi guys,

I would like to make it so on my blog, the featured section at the top only shows part of the post -- and a option for readers to click "Read More" to see the full post.

You can see what I mean at: Finance Advisory Stop

    Can anybody help?

There is a read more option in your post editor, you can set it where ever you like.

Just look for the "read more" in your dashboard post editor.

Is there not a feature in WP 2.8 whereby you can either split a post or make it a "sticky"

Here you can see what you have to do. The content above the more tag will be shown immediately, the other part under the tag can only be seen if they click the "read more" link.
