Some way to petition against infractions?

There have been a few infractions I have received that I was wondering about.

ONe for bumping I can understand, I revived a very old thread about people living in the north of england. I did this because I thought maybe some new people had joined who may have been from the north? which, they had, i got a lot of responses and pms regarding it, and have infact met a couple of webmasters in my area.

I seem to have received two other bumping infractions for updating people on the status of link sales, one was only two days old so it seems rather strange that it was done for bumping when all I infact did was update after I had replied to emails and PMs.

I got one inappropriate comment, all I can think that was about would be to do with a someone who was trying to sell a site by using misleading information, I pointed this out and an hour later received the infraction.

I just think it would be much better if the link reffered to was always included and slightly more reasoning was given, with some choice of appeal.

I have had quite a few good transactions on DP (100% positive feeback) and don't believe I have done anything that is particularly adverse to the use of this, otherwise fantastic, forum.
