    Hi,

I'm a member of here for one week and i wanna open a new thread in domain selling but it says that i have to be a member at least for 14 days and post at least 25 messages then not get a red reputation... First of all i can understand you want from users posting to the forums but, becoming a member for at least 14 days is nonsense i think... firstly, i thought that 7 days is enough then i tried to open a new thread today but i cant because according to TOS i have to be a member of here for at least 14 days... its not good thing... Also, a member that i dont share the same opinion with her/him then he/she may give me e red reputation... whatever... I think you should review the rules and should change somethings ... thanks.

That's to prevent spam. Many spammers would simply make 25 posts in one day and then spam the forums with their crap. I think the rules are fair. If you like the forum, you should have any problems with this.

    Good luck! :)

You won't get red for disagreeing with someone.

You will if you are rude or offensive.

    It's that simple

Well, there's not much you can do about it. Moderators can't edit reputation, so just forget about it. :) By the way, if you think that was me, you're wrong. ;)

    steve_gts, I guess you're talking about infractions?

It's for the users benefit as well. Seriously, who would want to do business with someone who just joined and isn't yet reputable?

Since rules are rules, they are there to be followed :p I think new comers should be very careful if they intend to stay on the forum and not start fights or arguments. Just be careful and wait a few more days and everything will be okay :)

i think its quite hard for a newbie to survive in here. one needs to be really careful and read the threads related to all these queries before getting started so that one does not end up making mistakes. :)

I think rules are quite fair , as these forums give you knowledge to share, help from members about problems , webmaster tips and tricks , but just blocking promotions for 14 days , not a bad deal i think , for getting so much think 14 days and 25 posts is a good rule . Just my opinion.

Express opinions in general chat forums, but don't flame or be rude to people, but express in a genuine and unharsh way that you disagree or agree.
