    Hey guys,

I just launched a Brazilian dating site and am looking for tips on generating traffic. I am currently advertising on Adwords and Facebook and have been submitting the site to directories. I am averaging about 3 new subscribers a day. my site is match brazil com .

Join some of the social networking websites. Build a good friends list and start interacting with them. After some stage you can send them your website and this might get you some exposure.

Hi! I can think that something is wrong with the keywords of your website, isn't it? Try to use such keywords by which the target audience of your site will definitely search for the necessary information. Another useful method is just writing articles for some other sites with related topics.

I have heard some people who run dating sites running there complete marketing campaign on twitter. Posting an attractive picture, making a good bio, then setting up a rss feed from your site to keep new tweets coming. This is something you may look into.

That is a good idea to run a website that is about dating. My suggestion is to lanuch some activity on your website besides SEO job. For example, you can host a party for those white collas who do not have time to dating. Or you can get togeter with your local club that is specail for single. This is bring more traffics to your site. You are running a living site, not a dead one. So it will be a better way to lancuh campaign on your site or with others.

Yes, you should make more friends. You are "selliing" relationship on your site. So join as many social network website such as twitter, facebook as you can. Just spread your site in those place where people get together.

there is not much activities on your forums.. you should recruit some anchor members to interact with new members.. another site plentyoffish is built entirely around forum... member interaction.. I think that is the key to success of your dating website.. forum postings attract search engines too

I might be biased, but I suggest you start a blog and create articles that your particular audience would be most interested in reading and then ask readers to forward them over to friends. Try to guest on post on blogs that relate to dating and Brazilian people. Try to make the articles funny too. Hope that helps.

Competition is tough, so give yourself time and don't expect overnight success. Submitting articles could be beneficial in establishing that you are an authority on the subject of Brazilian Dating. Also, you can provide links to your site in the Article Resource box.

    Good Luck

I thought about loading some generic profiles but decided against it. Well I have about 120 members on the site so far...All through PPC marketing. At the rate I am paying per member it is not sustainable long term so I am getting zero unpaid search traffic currently

Google for Mingle2 and Unicorn, great linkbait could save you alot of money for advertising...but it's not THAT easy to create a working viral campaign.

Promoting a dating site can take years. You have to consider all facets of internet promotion and SEO. Here are some examples:
    a. write and submit articles to multiple article directories
    b. participate in multiple forums and blogs where you can add signature link
    c. use as many social media sites as you are comfortable with (example: Digg)
    d. email other webmasters for one-way links or link exchange
    e. utilize press releases and site reviews (this might cost a bit)
    e. etc.

Slow and steady will often win the race. Building links and getting attention to your site could take years of hard work. The only ones who have it easy are those that have millions to spend on marketing and SEO.

Also, don't believe in the myth that writing great content will bring you the links. This might work if you are posting the cure to numerable diseases, but probably not for a dating website.

    Hi!

Lots of good advice in this thread. It's definitely a good idea to write up some substantial articles on dating in Brazil. You can SEO optimize these, and people who and interested will reach them and immediately trust for your site will be built. At Content Crooner we automate the distribution of these articles to thousands of different directories across the internet; that eliminates a lot of work for you, and generates lots of backlinks for you. Plus, we've made it so you can automatically update RSS feeds and social networks like LinkedIn and Twitter, so once you build up a following there you can build up trust and loyalty with your articles.

    Hope this helps!
