Hello Friends, I always have some questions those are unanswered till now. Here is a list of my queries about SEO and Link Building: 1) What keywords should we choose to optimize? E.g. What should be Search volume/month and competition? 2) How many links we have to generate per day/week/month for a new website? Would it affect if we get 200 links in a week via Social Bookmarking or other methods? 3) How much time normally it takes to take a website on 1st page of Google of competition is about 160,000 on Google? Lets take a new website as example. 4) Article Marketing - Should we have to add a unique article to every single directory? Will that be considered duplicate content if we upload 1 article to 10 diff Article Directories? 5) How often google check for Backlinks? and update Page Rank? Lets have answers for these questions for now. There are lot of other questions too. Please help me regarding this.

Answer: It's best to gain links naturally from quality sources - quality rather than quantity is best (high PR). 3) How much time normally it takes to take a website on 1st page of Google of competition is about 160,000 on Google? Lets take a new website as example. Answer: depends on a lot of factors like what tactics you use and the history of domain etc. Could take 1 month or 6 months! 4) Article Marketing - Should we have to add a unique article to every single directory? Will that be considered duplicate content if we upload 1 article to 10 diff Article Directories? Answer: The directory that is indexed first will hold the most weight. Yes it is better to submit unique articles. 5) How often google check for Backlinks? and update Page Rank? Answer: This depends on how often they crawl the site containing the backlinks. The backlinks will be updated as soon as google finds them.
Actually i had similar questions when i started my first marketing website in 2002. First of all I was reluctant to use keywords those big guys were ranked on top. Later i learned that there isn't any rules, it all depends on how u build u r website with content. Making it an authority site works magic. Also getting some quality back links related to u r keywords is essential. I think you will learn all these by trial and error method.
