    Hi

I have a verified personal account under my mothers name. Soon I will dry up the 5 Credit Card payments and then once I move to premier account then I will be charged some fee for every transaction.

So I was planning to have another Paypal account under my dad's name which will be used to receive credit card payments. I had some questions though

    • Are we permitted to use two different accounts for two different family members but same address?
    • Considering I get one premier and one personal account then is it possible that I take CC payments in my premier account and then transfer that money to my personal account and then to bank? I don't want to connect bank account to both the accounts
    • OR are we permitted to have personal and premier account under same name? What is the process??

    Please do reply.

Officially speaking, only the actual person whose details is being used for signing up can do so. You are not allowed to used anyone's else details to sign up even if they are your parents.

At the same time, you are not supposed to use a Personal account for Business purposes, ie make money from customers for goods or services.

Yes, since you are not allowed to share paypal accounts, each member of the family must have their own paypal account and have them verified. As long as you do not transfer money between the accounts, it would be fine.

Yes, you are allowed to have a Personal and Premier account. All you need to do is just sign up as per usual for the two accounts. However, you must use different email address and financial details (ie different credit card and/or bank accounts).

You can transfer funds between the two accounts under the same name but make sure that you do not transfer big amounts so as to get under the radar which would flag it for investigation. It is best to just add the bank account to the account which would receive money.

You do know that if you have both a personal and premier account, you are not allowed to receive any money at your personal account from parties other than yourself.

Only having one single personal account does not make it okay to use it to receive money from sales. Article writing is a service which you do to make money/profits and as such you need a premier account for it.

Paypal does not offer the option of a personal account and the premier/business account so as to allow you to decide if you want to pay fees or not.

As an writer, I am sure your command of English would be good so I am sure you know what the meaning of 'Personal' is. If you do not know, the Personal account is for people who wants a Paypal account so that they can BUY online (basically a spending account), the leeway is that Paypal allows you to sell personal items which you no longer need through online auction and such and to receive money from friends and family not allowing to profits.

If you want to do business online, ie receiving money for services or goods then you need a Premier account (if you do not have a registered business) or a Business account (if you are a registered business or incorporated company).

If you plan to keep your paypal account, make sure you do not go around and breaking all your contractual agreements.
