    hi alls,

I am new member of this forum and in my mind have a many questions about wordpress.com blogs.
    I am using a blog on wordpress.com
as you all and me know that no one can display ads on wordpress.com blogs.

My blog is old near to one year. The monthly visitors of my blog are 30,000-40,000 and monthly impression is 2,200,000. This statistics according to wordpress.com blog stats. My blog is based on large collection of wallpapers.

Some questions are in my mind about my blog and wordpress.com

1- Why wordpress.com not allow display ads on wordpress.com blogs for monetize their blogs.
2- They allow their "WORDAD" facility to monetize of higher traffic holder blogs owners. They need to shift blog on wordpress domain and display ads. I have checked other blogs who enjoy their this facility but there is no display ads on their blogs i don't know why.... can any one tell me are they earn from thier blogs or not?
3- If i purchase hosting and domain for my wordpress.com blog from any other third party and redirect my blog with new hosting and domain can wordpress allow to display ads on my wordpress.com blog?

I am very serious about this because my traffic is high on monthly basis and impression is in millions.

    Please guide me

    Thanks

    1. because most of ads comes in Javascript, something that can hide virus and stuff like that so Wordpress doesn't allow that.
    2. I haven't heard about that so can't help
    3. I think but I am not sure, you can always get a domain name you will be on the wordpress platform so no change, though this could be an idea, get a domain and a cheap hosting and link your images on pages you would have created on this hosting, when people click on your images then they will be redirected to those pages, pages where you can place your own ads.

The only solution that I see is move your site to it's own domain and hosting, and redirect the old URL to the new one.
You are going to lose some traffic and links. Unless WordPress.com has a solution where you can keep your site where it is, pay for hosting, and your own domain and do a redirect right where it is...there is no way around it. You will have to build it back up again.

But if it's that high, it shouldn't take too long.

The flip side, and even worse outcome, is that you get caught doing something sneaky and WP shuts down your blog. They have strict rules about using a WordPress.com blog for SEO purposes (driving traffic to another website) . I've been caught in the past myself before I even knew that's what I was doing.

I know no one wants to hear this, but it may be helpful for others. This is the main reason why you don't build a blog that you intend to grow and make money with, on a free hosted blog site.
