Regret



Alas!
The doors to yesterday have all sealed,
My heart betrayed,
And time's paradise expired before the endings ..
The endings that are no longer, no more.

Love languishes in a faded lagoon,
And the longings of fires departed,
The gnawing like swallow's feasting
On the crumbs of iniquities ... diminishing.
And idle souls remain unscathed.

Alas!
Regrets of stolen years and knots untied,
The weeping of babes, and hollow taunts.
Counting the wages of your Persian lackeys,
Gleaming gold pieces that denied your destinies.

Alas!

 

Love Unrequited



You see not my roiled passions
A feeling of ardour untold
You spy not my sodden lashes
and memories of you that I hold

Why doth love like a faded rose end
The thorns of inequity stay
Powdered decay of memories gone
and a night that turns not into day

If hearts shall ache in splendid states
And agonies chart a dark course
When you will return from Camelot quests
on a powerful steed of a horse

Turn not to my love and bring me your kiss
That faithless time of a stare
We shall never remain as lovers my beau
and the lights shall fade at the fair

Adieu.
