I made some tutorials on CS3 because some of my friends would ask me how to do things and this was the easiest way for me to remotely show them. how to make patterned wood grain how to make a simple glassy button how to make sun rays. if anybody wants to know how to do anything let me know and I'll make a video when I get some free time.
Very nicely done (I am talking about the production quality). Did you use the Camtasia/Snagit tools to do this? I have been looking for a good tool for doing online demos and was wondering what you used. Thanks.
I use a program called ishowu (mac only) and I put it together in final cut express or imovie hd. Then I upload it to revver because they use a flash uploader and it works faster for me than youtube.
It's nice that they are video tutorials, but you might try to use some hot keys in the next tutorials so you don't have to move around the screen that much.
You better use camatasia i make my own tutorials using camatasia only .Its really easy to use yet the best.
like 3 text or how to make objects and icons? I could do simple things, like realistic shadows and rolled up paper edges for sure. about the hotkeys, I think it us better to teach to use the contextual menus to get people exploring those, they are also easier to remember than hotkeys. I might start putting hot keys in as a 'for your info' sort of thing.
