I don't work for phpld and you really should be going to their forum for this , but because its an emergency I'd gladly help you out.

Have you done a backup, you can re-upload any lost files from that.

Make sure your CHMOD permissions are set not to allow external access. There's plenty of advise on this through a simple search.

Ask An0n, The guy is on a mission to help.

I would say to you that I doubt it has been hacked because if it was they would have done a lot more than just take away a few files. Hope that helps.

Its more of a question on how secure your server is, rather than how secure your directory is. Use htacess to protect any sub folders you want to remain hidden.

    Replace index.php

Whether this the error you got?
Forget to tell you guys I got this error a couple of days back and I found some of the code missing from index.php and I replaced it immediately ( Directory was loading fine then)and After that within 6-7 hours I got the same error and I again found some part of index.php missing So I again replaced it with a file from PHPLD zip file

I also had the same problem with almost all of my PHPLD directories(Both version PHPLD2 and 3 series)

I had a similar problem a long time ago and found it to be a virus on my server, somehow a file had got onto the VPS server and was steadily trolling its way through the shared accounts deleting lines from files, mainly php files.

It may be worth checking with your host that the server is functioning correct and virus free.

    Thanks

Interesting answer and much appreciated. It's all well and good us all second guessing but it's much better coming from someone who's had similar experiences. (Rep Given)
