Buying Some one to setup and help migrate 2 websites to new VPS

    I would like to have someone help me setup my new VPS that is with KVCHosting and then help me migrate my 2 websites to it.

    Its a new VPS setup running Centos 5

    My two sites both have small sql db's and phpbb boards.

    I would like whom ever does this to remote into my machine so that i can watch and learn. (take notes)

    Do you have cPanel or a control panel or such, or is it just a plain VPS?

    VERY easy to do then. What you want to do is log in to the WHM on your VPS. http://yourip/whm

    Scroll down on the left side to "Transfers".

    If you have root access on the old server, click on the first option, "Copy an account from another server".
    If you do not have root access on the old server, click on the second option, "Copy an account from another server with account password".

    After that, just follow the on-screen instructions, and cPanel should do everything for you. Once it is finished, you should be able to log in on the VPS using the same credentials as on your old server.

    Why do not you open a support ticket them, assuming they should help you migrating websites and data.

    I assume because the VPS is unmanaged. Unmanaged companies will not normally transfer your data for you.

    yes it is unmanaged, and i want to learn.
