First I would try to contact ripoffreport.com. Also try responding to the complaint.

A big tip: Don't come off accusing the person. Try to sound very professional. If you come off sounding like a kid playing the blame game then other people will think you are wrong and it will hurt your site more.

AFAIK, you can work with ripoffreport to resolve the issue. That's what they're there for. Resolutions.

Outrageous that ripoffreports published the complaint without contacting you. You are obviously upsetting one of your competitors. I'd call your competitors (or get someone else to do this) and ask to speak to the person who published the report on ripoffreports - maybe get through to their marketing department first - if someone takes the call and they know about your report... I'm not sure what I'd do next - maybe have some fun at their expense. Thing is, being the victim of something like this can get under your skin and reacting is usually a complete waste of time. The best form of revenge is success...

You'll never get that off of ripoffreport.com... they are notorious for not removing anything
    without a court order.

try responding to that complaint in the most professional manner and also try getting a lawyer send a notice to ripoffreport and keep it as professional as possible.

Well. no, he can't definately - firstly, you don't know if the complaint is false, it may be derogatory, but could be a reasonable expression of someone's opinion and experience. Secondly, if the content was written by a user, and not the site itself, ror won't be held liable.
That isn't to say that ror hasn't been sued - but they've stayed up because the law isn't clear, isn't consistent across the USA, let alone internationally, and they have a lot of experience in fending off cases

seosolutions best course of action is to contact them, be calm and professional in doing so, don't make threats, don't pick an argument - be as diplomatic as possible. And be prepared to pay.
These people are piranhas, you do not want to get into a fight with them.

You will have a very difficult time getting off ripoffreport but it is possible. It took me a couple months and a continued effort but I did it.

You can try the classic reputation management technique - which is to crowd it off the first page of serps..

If the ripoffreport is showing on the first page of serps for your company name, make as many different types of sites and pages with your name as you possibly can - squidoo pages, blogspots, myspace, facebook, hubpages, xanga, tumblr, a twitter profile - anything you can think of to get you another listing in serps.
Don't have exactly the same content on all of them - you don't want any of them filtered out for dupe content. Think of them as one page adverts.
I'd suggest also that you use at least one of them as your answer back to the ripoffreport complaint - give a calm, reasoned account of wht the report is wrong, and why you can't answer back on the site.

Then you have to try and get those pages to rate in google through traditional old-fashioned methods - backlinks, directories, social bookmarking etc.
