Some one help me why the number of page indexed in google decreased?

Some one help me why the number of page indexed in google decreased?
There are about 10000 entries in my site, but only about 200 pages indexed in google when i have a try to search site:www.phpkode.com.

I am so dispirited by google. Anyone can tole me why?

Try to submit sitemap on google webmaster tools.

 

If you have any duplicated content or submenu pages that are similar google will usually remove them from index

 

You’ve got a unique content? If yes, just increase the number of backlinks..

 

google usually omitted some entries similar to the results displayed when you search your site index.

 

if you search google for "site: yahoo.com" it return 449 millions result.
they do display the result for important site

 

Few backlinks will also result to Google deindexing your site pages. Increase backlinks and you will see more pages indexed by Google.

 

u need to submit sitemap in webmaster tools and need some unique content in your site..

I think you should check it again.

 

possible cause is Duplicate Content issue or did you update your site using a different CMS or folder structure? because probably Google is just re-indexing your site, dumping the non-existing pages
