Hey, On my webpage lizardcaresheets.com the way pages turn up is weird. For example, When i type in "brown basilisk care sheet" on google the link http://www.lizardcaresheets.com/iguanid.html comes up before http://www.lizardcaresheets.com/brownbasilisk.html. It makes no sense to me because i have the word brown basilisk like 10-12 times on the brownbasilisk.html page I also have all the meta tags correct. However, I only have it written once on the iguanid.html page. So how come the iguana.html page comes in the search engines. Thank you
I do. The first page you listed has more PageRank than than the one you want to come up. The second one you listed doesn't even have enough PageRank to keep it out of the supplemental index: [site:lizardcaresheets.com] You only have 16 pages that aren't in the supps, so this will happen to you frequently. Same thing, for instance, when you search for [grass lizard care sheet]... www.lizardcaresheets.com/agamidliz.html comes up instead. -Michael
Yes, judiciously placed link juice. Get a couple of low-medium strength links to each of the pages you want ranked. Nothing outrageous, or you'll over do it, just enough to get un-supp... like maybe 1 PR3 and 2-3 PR2's per page should be fine. -Michael
A similar thing happens to one of my sites in MSN. An internal page (that doesn't have much to do with the keyword) shows up first in the results for one of my main keywords. It doesn't really make much sense to me either but I'm ok with it as long as my sites ranking well.
