Some of the best FREE ways to promote/market a website I am on a disability pension & so I have VERY little money to spare. What I am hoping to find out is some of the FREE but good & not hard to implement ways to promoting a website. Some of the ways I have tried over the last few years are – (none of them were very successful , although its possible that certain ones MAY work if I put more time into them – dunno) 1- I submitted my website to various directories. 2- I have a page for my website on facebook that is dedicated to it - http://www.facebook.com/pages/httpwwwvictoria-bc-canada-guidecom/104531431549 3- I tweeted on twitter - & spread the word to friends on facebook. 4- I posted in various forums – (500-1000 times). 5- I posted various adds for it in classified add sites including craigslist – kijiji – www.usedeverywhere.com & others. 6- Hope to take a few larger photos for my website. 7- I have redone my adsense adds trying many different add formats & colors. 8- I have tried a few adwords campaigns over the last few years. 9- I recently did an opt in email blast/campaign. I would like to redo my header but the software that I would need is far to expensive, Can anyone recommend any free but good programs/editors out there that are also not hard to use.
