The best affiliate program will depend on a variety of factors. Most importantly, what's your niche?

Although there's lots of large affiliate networks providing tons of different offers, some niches will have specific affiliate programs that perform the best and have the highest conversion / commission rates. For example, if you'd like to target "payday loans" -- the program in my sig is one of the best available. But if you're targeting another niche, their may be a specific program that's best for that niche...

I would rate CJ. I don't use Clickbank due to the high refund rate. We put so much effort/time/money into our websites, blogs or campaigns, only to be disappointed at seeing clickbank refunds before the end of 30 days.

I like CJ, Clickbank and PeerFly. I know they are good at paying on time.

For beginners I recommend starting with either Clickbank (information products) or Amazon (physical products). Once you've got the hang of things, you can combine the two. For example, if you have a guitar site you could promote a guide to playing guitar (Clickbank) and actual guitars (Amazon).

Clickbank has the advantage of high commissions, up to 75%. Amazon commissions are much lower (4-8%), but you can promote high-ticket goods. Plus you earn commission from anything bought by a customer you refer (within 24 hours), not just the original product you promoted.
