Well i thought this might be a good idea, to finish this problem from the root. On the registration page can we have the following points? Pick your username carefully, username changes are not allowed at all, do not pick any name like mydomain.com or as a username, we will not change the username at any cost. If you are re-registering, know this, we will ban you again and increase your ban period if there are infractions on your original account. We do not tolerate duplicate accounts, be careful. If you have infractions and are banned do not create more accounts, wait it out or else it will not be reversed, ever. Before you go and start posting, read the rules here, we do not tolerate any violations. Note: im not being sarcy here.. im just saying, if those are on the reg page, new users wont have any reason to not know that fact...and cause more spam here in the suggestion section.
This one needs to be stated somewhere! I've seen too many people who have done this and then wanted to change their usernames after... Good one G Hope this gets used!
That would be a pretty good addition to the registration page. We really need a link to the rules and infractions page so that new members don't get hit with an infraction out of ignorance.
Isn't it possible to do username changes at $50? I heard someone saying that? **edit:sorry; it seems username changes are not allowed, it were user titles ...
Well I think this rules should be added on Registration pages. Point 1 and 5 should be there because people ignore it time and time.
mm nah i dont think it will although its my suggestion i know how decisions are taken at dp this is considered as pampering the potential convicts, people should have the common sense to not do those thigns, this will most likely by not done.
It would be good to be done anyway. I think it would truly help to cut down on registrations like that.
I just hate to see blockheads posting the same thing over and over and over....and still the mods still answer them in a calm way ....except 1
LOL! its not necesarrily a bad thing, id be doing the same thing if i had to deal with noobs day in and day out....jeez its like a never ending line of noobs...noobs noobs everywhere (almost the same thing what i said when stepping into a stripbar, almost..)
The more people register the better for DP...after all multiple registrations also add to usercount..don't they? And why should people not be allowed to change their usernames if they're doing it for a genuine reason?
No one reads the Feedback and Suggestion forum before he registers...and lots of members dont even read after registration. They just read after being banned.
