i was checking my site stats and followed a link to a website in AU. when i got there i was surprised to see my site..WTF

some fargin icehole went to my eBay aff page and stole my code and made a page with it using his header and footer with my main website content in the center. The stupid part is... these bastages left the code intact along with my cj/ebay pid?

whats up with this icehole, why would the bastage do this???

I did report this to cj so i dont get booted, sure hope i dont get in trouble over this icehole..

I also sent an email to this fargin icehole and told him to remove my code but no reply yet.

All i can say at this point is....THIS IS FARGIN WAR!!

    any advice??

    Jeff

not sure what a farg or an icehole is, but if he left your info intact, isnt that free money for you?

agreed with wowhaxor, you should not complain as long as your pid is intact. I believe he is using a frame to capture link to your site. as long as he did not change the PID part, then you should be thankful to him. he is doing a free promotion for you.

I agree its nice to get free exposure but I'm worried that cj may boot me because of this. i really don't want to take that chance!!

I have seen posts about people getting booted from cj for having links and banners on sites they don't own and are not listed in cj????

As long as i don't get booted from cj i really don't care about it.

Each site has a unique Ebay PID. These are generated for your site inside of CJ. If someone uses your PID for your site, on a different domain, then you will get "invalid clicks" inside your CJ control panel. It tracks the PID to the domain name.

Too many "invalid clicks" is cause for termination. That's why the Poster is upset.

    Thanks GTech for the explain!!

After making a big stink over on this fargin iceholes forum he finally decided to remove my code from his site. I never in my life had to get that ugly on a forum. I don't know why this icehole did this but i uploaded the no right click script to my pages.

BTW.. icehole, fargin, bastages is from the movie Johnny dangerously

If you enabled link encryption of your Ebay links from CJ is it still possible to have your code hijacked?

not sure about that but anyone can go to your web page and right click to view your code and take all of it if they wish. that's how this guy took my code. i would suggest a no right click script. from now on i plan to do this on all my aff pages!!

Don't bother using a 'no right click' script - it will just end up annoying your visitors. Anyone can hit CTRL+U in Firefox, or use the IE menu to view the source.
