If you look at this situation in the middle east for a second, and analyze the islamic religion , if you have any common sense you'll figure it out. But hey, I'll spoon feed ya. The Koran tells its followers which also include the moderate musilums to kill unbelievers, and they shall reap rewards in heaven. Now, you might say that all religions have violent verses like this, but if you look at EVERYone of the scriptures in the Christian Bible, you'll find theres a literal difference. This scripture was kinda taken out of context, but Ill quote it: Theres no way you can miss interpret this one sentence, but you can see the difference. The Koran tells its followers to kill unbelievers, but in the bible, God says he will punish the unrightous himself. The bible puts a strong emphasis on its followers to be good to their neighbors, even if they do evil things to you. It also says vengence belongs to God, not you. Basically it the christian bible tells its followers to NOT spread violence, instead spread peace. This excludes biblical stories, like when King David was told to kill a certain people, in which case was a strategically kill to keep evil from spreading, etc. etc. Of course, the new testament seems to end that, taking in a new form of stopping the spread of evil (peace). Also you must remember, the christian God is called the God of Israel, obviously he is going to help King David defend his country. Which in Jesus' time had already spread. Most other religions like hindus, and polytheistic religions are less violative and instead call for people to find the light in themselves. No other religion has more violent verses then islam. Anyways, if you read all that, I think if you look some of what I said up, you'll find its very much true. There's a huge difference. In the Bible it's a specific command to a specific person leading a specific army in a specific battle. In the Koran, it's a general command that applies to everyone. The central problem with the Koran is that there is no concept of authority.
Yeah, I totally agree. And thats where the problem lyes, that general message to everyone. Its a big part of what generates the violence, along with other factors, they feel like that is what really jusifies it.

According to the teaching of Quran and Hadith, the sky and earth ARE STATIONARY and planets rotate. It is the sun that moves around the earth WHILE THE EARTH DOES NOT MOVE AROUND THE SUN. There are many verses of the Holy Quran that clearly show the rotation of the moon and the sun, which are given as under: 1) "And made the sun and the moon subservient. Each runs to a turns stated" (Al-Quran, part 13, Sura Al-Ra'ad (The Thunder)-13, verse 2) 2) "And He made the sun and the moon subservient for you which are constantly moving" (Al-Quran, part 13, Sura Ibraheem -14, verse 23) 3) And each (The moon the sun) is floating in an orbit." (Al-Quran, part 23, Sura Yaseen -36, verse 140) It is thus quiet [sic] clear that the sun moves and it is obligatory upon every muslim [sic] to believe it. Because it is what Allah Almighty ordains us to believe. In the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith the theory of the rotation of the earth IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Allah Almighty says: "Undoubtedly, Allah has withheld the heavens and the earth least they move." (AL-Quran) .....more than 10 references in the quran ....
