Some ideas of how to promote wordpress plugins

Hello,
I want to know some ideas about how to promote some wordpress plugins.
In which affiliates networks do you think that we must include our software ?
Any other ways of marketing ?

start a blog and blog about each plugin - for each post, write around 500 words or so outlining the benefits to the reader of using the plug in. Write well informed and tested posts on free plugins on a regular basis. Simples
