    Hi Everyone,

I own Cool Fonts and as you can see by my anchor text I'm trying to get #1 position for the term Cool Fonts. It get's about 150 searches per day.

I'm onto the 3rd page (http://www.google.com/search?q=Cool+Font&shl=en&safe=off&as_qdr=all&start=30&sa=N) and I want to be 1st page at #1. So far the only work I've done is:
    1. Put keyphrase in site title.
    2. Put keywords in site content.
    3. Get a few links from other sites (about 3 PR2 and one PR5) with Cool Fonts anchor text.
    4. My site has 600 backlinks according to iwebtool.com so I just got alot of natural links.

Then I left the site for about a month to let everything settle and see how much SE traffic I get. I'm a predicted PR3 with the next update.

Now I want to know how to get into the #1 position. I have just hired someone to submit my site to 500 directories (100 PR5's in there) using title text that contains the keyphrase I want to rank for.

What else should I do? Just keep building quality backlinks? Any tips are greatly appreciated. :)

There are two types of search engine optimization.
    Onpage Optimization
    Offpage Optimization

Properly planned offpage optimization will make the difference between your website ranking #900, and ranking #1 on Google!

Offpage optimization basically consists of all of the ranking factors that are NOT located on your webpage, that the search engines look at when
    ranking a website.
    These include:
1 Which websites link to you
2 The number of websites linking to you
3The Google of the website linking to you
4 The page title of the website linking to you
5 The anchor text used in the link linking to you
6 The number and type of links linking to the website that's linking to you.
7 The number of outbound links on the website that is linking to you
8 The total number of links on the website that is linking to you
9 Whether or not the websites linking to you are deemed by Google as an authority
    website.
10 The IP Address of the websites linking to you.

? Plus some other things that we'll get to later...

    I suggest a few things.

Extend your domain registration as long as you can. This tells the search engines, you are not going anywhere for a while.

Then i would build some high PR links, and a couple hundred low PR links. A good way to build the low PR links is in the BST section on DP, buy blog posts from networks. Just be sure to tell them I sent you coz then I get a discount booyah!
