Hey guys.. I want to start selling websites but I have no experience in this.. I want to start with a blog which earns around 3-4$ a day through adsense.. Gets around 300-400 unique views a day (500+ on some days).. The reason I want to start selling and not keeping the websites is maintaining the SEO.. For example for this website I was ranked #1 for the keyword but now I am #3.. I don't want to keep maintaining the SEO.. I just want to build a blog, get it to #1 for the keyword, keep it for some days to prove adsense earnings then flip it.. If anyone who is experienced in flipping websites can tell me how much would I get for such a website? For an Adsense site that makes $3 a day ($90 a month) you can expect to get around $1k +/-$350 depending on the age of the site, the number of keywords you're ranking for, historical revenue and other factors. In terms of where to sell, you should most definitely look towards Flippa (the largest marketplace today). It costs money to list but generally speaking you will get many times more money for your site than you would when listing it at free marketplaces, which are often overloaded with spam-listings.
I don't see the point of flipping sites that rank well for keywords and get high organic traffic. I'd rather have 20 sites earning a few dollars a day, then flipping 1 every week for a few hundred dollars, especially when considering in the time you'd spend on flipping new sites could make those earning a few dollars a day to 5-10 (very reasonable imo).
let me put it to you this way.... if you are making 3-4 dollars a day... you should keep the site. you just do some initial SEO and then just keep blogging or whatever you are doing with the site. you are more likely to get higher revenue that way than flipping the sites. just my opinion.
Well put it like this.. I make 3 blogs a month.. get them ranked #1 for the targeted keyword.. Then flip them for $1k.. That makes $3k per month.. I ll put my website on auction on flippa.. Thank you all for the advice.. Much appreciated..
