some help for newbie please

    Hi!

    I have pr4 site with installed digitalpoint add system. On my site I have 5 ads (for weight increase). How can I know... are my 2 ads are showing and how often.
    I have something like this:
    Base: 9
    Consolidation: 0
    Referrals: 0
    Your Weight: 9

    So what can I do to optimise all of this and have some benefits? :)

    it will show cached backlinks.
    But with only a weight of 9 you won't show too many links back. How many pages do you have cached? 9 seems kinda low.

    I am assuming you recently added the ad network to your site. I would watch for backlinks daily but realize it may take a week or so to start seeing them.

    How many visitors do you get per day to your pages that contain the coop links? There are obviously a lot of factors involved in "weight" and I don't pretend to know them, but I would imagine the number of exposures that the ads get from being on your page has to be one of them.

    You have to wait at least one week before you see any backlinks showing up.

    You have to wait around 2 weeks to see some improvment in Google's serps; but with a weight of 9 i wouldn't expect much...

    Number of exposures the ads get has no influence on weight.

    There are two main factors - pagerank and number of pages displayed by google API.

    But surely what you give in the end is exposure to other peoples links. If this is true then number of exposures should be the prime factor in weight.

    It doesn't matter if the link is on 10,000 pages if nobody ever loads those pages.

    Well I guess it does if all we are trying to do is manipulate Google. And to the degree that PR determines crawling frequency a higher PR page will be crawled more often and Google will read its links more often. So this is still about exposure, but only exposure to Google's bot not human exposure.

    Rotten way to run a world isn't it?

    I think we need more information. How many Google indexed pages are the coop ads on, and what is the PR value of these pages? If the answer to both of these question is a low number then you aren't going to get much weight.
