This has to be the vaguest 'how to' list I've ever seen - "Build a good content rich web site." - what's good content? how much content makes it content rich? build it how? "Get links from high PR web sites." - and how do you get high PR web sites to link to you? "Get links from directories and non directories" - what directories? and what non-directories? what do you mean by non-directories? do you just mean websites? I could go on, but already I've put more effort into answering than you put into making that post.
cmon guys... I think for some of us, certain tips we might not have aware of... really appreciate his effort to post
9. Find authority web site in your niche and submit your site. Please explain this in more words....................
Oddly enough, as much as you have all bashed his post it is actually quite on the ball (though maybe not so detailed or exact). #1 is correct and has been beaten to death. Of course doing this is easier said than done. #2 is right on the mark. Your efforts should go into trying to get high PR backlinks. 1 PR 3 backlink is worth many many PR1 backlinks and so forth. 1 backlink from a PR 7 page yields you PR4 pretty much right away. It might be worthwhile focusing all of your efforts into getting a few really high backlinks. I'm not sure what he means by non directories either but overall that has to be some of the best starter guide advice points I've seen in a while.
Wash, rinse, and repeat. These "steps" boil down to: 'have unique content' 'get links from different places' We've all heard this before ...
irunbackwards I disagree. He's making some very good points there such as "5. Get links to home page and inner pages of the web site." - not everyone mentions this! "9. Find authority web site in your niche and submit your site." - Another great point. "10. Find a less competitive keyword for the resent listing, which you can rank easily." - A real gem of a point that can be quite profitable. "11. Look for the high Competitive Keywords in the long time Optimization Only." - Thinking of highly competitive keywords as long term goals can really help your site shine years down the line.
The post is pretty much worthless. Rather than 11 extremely vague points, it would have been far more productive to choose a single one of them and write in depth about it. Since Its a new account with 21 posts I'm going to assume that wasn't an option since this was purely a post count building thing.
