I was approved by google so I'm pretty new to this, I got a few questions for you guys.. 1) Is there a way to have the links from your ads open in a new window? 2) Also, I have the download google firefox ad but it doesn't show up for me Firefox, is that normal? 3) Do you get paid for impressions? or only clicks? Thanks in advance
Hey nando, well from what i know: 1. I think that yes, check it when you configure your adsense code. 2. Dont really nkow , cause i have never used tht button. 3. You get paid ONLY for impressions. Hope this helps. Thanks.
only impressions? i thought it was all clicks i only asked to be sure.. now i'm just just confuzed..lol thanks for the other info
1) You can get the results of the search unit to open up a new window but not the content units. 2) What do you mean? The button doesn't appear when you look at the page? If so it should... 3) Some ads are meant to be per impression but the majority are per click. Hodge
1) No, it would be against the TOS to do this (I suggest you read the TOS). You can only open new pages for Search boxes. 2) It shoudl show up fine. 3) Depends. Advertisers can "Site Target" you site and get CPM (impression) ads, but most ads will be CPC (click)
Ok.. thanks for the info guys.. About the firefox - have a look: Hottest Pic On Myspace when I look at it through firefox, I see an emtpy white space. when I look at it through IE I see the ad. Do you see it?
1) Is there a way to have the links from your ads open in a new window? (it's not possible . if you try this will banned) 2) Also, I have the download google firefox ad but it doesn't show up for me Firefox, is that normal? ( yes it is normal ) 3) Do you get paid for impressions? or only clicks? (you will be paid for both of them )
Oops! Ho0w can you give wrong advices??? Here is it.. 1. No, it is not possible. 2. I was able to see it on both IE and firefox, always. Can't confirm, but you must be able to see it. 3.You get paid for clicks normally, but it is possible to get paid for impressions as well. Google allows both type of ads. Hope this helps.
Here are my answers: 1. It is possible to do that. But We should not. 2. May be you have adblock on your fire fox 3. you will get for both. Mostly for clicks
