I love how your do not list includes submitting to search engines, then on your services pages you say you will submit their site to search engines
Reciprocal link exchanges really arnt a good SEO solution. If a SEO advises you to set up a link exchange page, alarm bells should start to ring.
Nice post! I like the step no. 4. which is Don’t use content that is already being used by hundreds of other sites.
those look good, but there are a lot more things you could do, such as talk about H1 tags, frames, meta-tags, etc. Also, although finding links on sites already crawled is a good practice, submitting to SE's is not a bad one. It can help you get crawled quicker.
Thanks all for the kind words sweetfunny - whats so alarming about exchanging links??? I can give you many examples where my sites have shot up because of exchanging links with related sites. For example - if you type in 'mp4 videos' in Google, you'll find the site mymp4clips.com (which was a site I owned before) in the 3rd place and mp4point.com in the 1st place. The owner of this site and I had exchanged reciprocal links and it worked well for both of us. (I am not aware if the links are still there). If you now see dailymp4.com, I had a link to their site on this page and I can see a link to mp4clips.com on their home page as well. Contrary to popular belief, reciprocal linking does work as long as you do it with related sites.
