I dont know whether or not to take this as a compliment or have the shits. Some Indian dude has registered the .org of my directory www.allwebscape.com Looking at the install error message on their domain, it's looking like they are attempting to install a directory on the domain too

Yes, it appears to be a phpLD install started.
Maybe take it as a compliment?
I've had the same thing happen to me.

Not sure why some moron would do this kind of thing. I mean, come on. Come up with a little originality. I remember some time back, Chris (MystikMedia) had a guy register alivedirectory.info or .net or something similar and he wasn't too happy about it.

happens a lot. i especially feel bad for Chris, because he seriously supports and advertises his alive directory.
I remember advising him to register all possible domains to avoid the idiots who do this stuff.

its sucks, but nothing you can really do about it. =/

If you are too keen on your "brand name", then you should have registered all of them. Why blame some one when you really can't afford to register it!!?

Then you should live in the real world. There is nothing else any one can do.

Dont want to give more money to registers!, then dont own the "name"

Just because you registered .com, it doesnt mean any one should not register others. If you are too keen, then you should have registered all of 'em (as if its a trade mark name).

Ohh,, you are just trying to create "flame" aren't you...sorry you failed miserably.

I'm not entitled to the .com I paid for? Where's the logic in that.

Maybe his conscience is killing him ;) btw let him brand his and help you get traffic ... the .com gets the traffic. Unless it's a generic name, I wouldn't settle for .org ... no way!

Looks like you do!?. You can name an individual, but not a group of people in the name of country. If you do, I would continue to answer. Does it sound ok?.

Choose a right register if you are really keen on booking a domain that you want. If you are too keen on saving some pennies then it just happens (ever heard about parallel processing...ever realised that some one may also be interested in the same name). Why dont you go to some reputed registers'...eh!! and register it before others think of it.
