Hi all, While i tried to check the backlinks to my site, It shows up all the webpages which are linked to mine. Also it shows the number of outbound and inbound link on their page. How does a high outbound or inbound link of some other page affect my link quality? Does it even relate to my site or it has nothing to do with mine? Regards Hari
It does effect your website in the view of the search engines. The more outbound links there are, the less value you link has in the eyes of the SE. The less value, the less power it has in SEO and Pr. Hope this helps Brandon
according to google, pages on your site have a limited amount of 'page rank' to share with other sites at any one time. With a given page rank for a page, the more outbound links that page has, the less each link is 'worth' in terms of page rank weight.
Right, askme. Think of your site as a bucket, every link is a hole that passes juice on to another bucket. The more links you have, or holes in your bucket, the less link juice you are hanging on to and the less page rank you will receive.
