Some do, some don't

    I noticed that in my infraction list (and what a beautiful list it is) some posts has been deleted
    whereas others stayed intact. I wonder why Mods are deleting some posts and allowing others?

    I also noticed that some of my posts just gone in the land of oblivious but no infractions given.
    Hey Shawn, please don’t get any wrong ideas man,
    I’m not insisting you made changes to these circumstances.

    Some times posts are inappropriate but don't break a rule or cause any "harm", this usually happens when ones trying to be cute. Posts get deleted but mods may not dish out infractions.

    Now if you are offering a disallowed service, you'll get an infraction AND post deleted.

    Consider your thread being in the wrong category, here you'll get an infraction but post won't be deleted.

    As stated abovve posts that add no value, posts on a a topic/service that is not allowed, spammy posts, thread hijacks are deleted,

    In particular these no value posts include
    • Thank you posts.
    • Submitted mine posts.
    • PM sent posts
    • I'm interested posts.
    • Send details posts

    Others such as duplicate threads with posts in the duplicate thread are often merged with other similar posts. Threads in wrong category get moved

    I am glad you laugh today. I am convinced humor is good for us.

    List was not intended to include all possibilities. All too many of our members start posting without getting a feel for posting guidelines. If a handful read that list and quit posting those type posts I will we a happy camper.

    Who said anything about infraction?

    Infraction in this case would place perfectly legitimate post on record.
    Whoever deleted that article made sure it wouldn't become public domain.
