First off, this is the first time I login to awstats and see all those visit my site. In fact I think this is the first time I even see Googlebot on the list. Here's what I got: Googlebot - I know this one. Inktomi Slurp - I didn't know what this was until I did a google search. Apparently it's Yahoo!'s crawler. EchO! - I have no idea what this crawler is for... MSNBot - We know this one.. Unknown robot (identified by 'crawl') - I wonder what this is for? AskJeeves - What's with the Jeeves? Didnt they rename themselves to "Ask" only? So if anyone knows, what's "EchO!" for?
Echo.fr is the website for that Robot. It is created for market research and as such provides nothing handy for you.
ix quick is a search engine, it is nothing bad, you may not get that many visits from it, but it is worth allowing it. http://www.ixquick.com/
EchO! as reported by AWStats is not the French Echo robot anymore. What AWStats confuses with the old Echo robot is most probably the Mozilla Bon Echo experimental browser. Jean-Luc
I am pretty sure! At one of my sites, AWStats reports the last visit of EchO! yesterday at 21:05. The log file shows: **.**.***.*** - - [19/Dec/2006:21:05:02 +0100] "GET /images/annuaire-info-2wri.png HTTP/1.1" 200 551 "http://www.************.com/forums/viewtopic_64597.htm" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; fr-FR; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061026 BonEcho/2.0" Code (markup): Jean-Luc
