Some company says they can put me in top 3 for $30 ???

Before I purchase with this company (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to put their name), I wanted to make sure it wasn't a scam. They've guarenteed me they can put me in the top 3 positions of my keyword without modifying my website at all.

They say they have a "contract" with Yahoo. Does this sound legit? Anyone heard of anything like this?

    Thank you,
    Justin

Sounds a phony as a three dollar bill. No one can guarantee placement.

    The company is:
idealpositions.com for future reference. My client may have already paid for the first monthly fee... I'll see if I can stop her before she does it.

    Cheers!

Want guaranteed top 3 placement in the search engines?
Same as ever, just pick a keyword no one else has!

Like: create a site and use the keyword phrase "why am I so dumb as to pick this keyword phrase".

    Works every time!

Some of my sites are like 1 to 6 on yahoo, msn and google on some outlandish keywords.

Keep in mind, this keywords are never to be searched by a normal human being.

What we have here is a failure to communicate.:) Looking at their website, it appears to me that the company can indeed get you a top 3 position in the Yahoo search network. Your position will be in the sponsored results section and you will pay per click (in addition to any monthly fee).

Probably not what your friend wants, but literally true.

    Good luck,

    Roger

The website design itself tells us it will not be something helpful or something worth looking at..Second yeah, I do think they are thinking about taking your $30 to set up your yahoo advertiser account.

Yep this is what it sounds like to me. Its the old let sucker them in and then bleed them dry trick. NOBODY can guarantee you top placement in natural search results, NOONE. Well I take that back they can guarantee anything they want, but good luck collecting a refund when they fail to deliver. The moment someone calls me about search engine placement or optimizing my site I hang up on them if I'm in a good mood. If I'm in a bad mood I drag them out and waste their time so that they can't call some gullible sap.

I knew it was too good to be true, I even asked them if it was some sort of sponsored or paid inclusion... and they lied to me over the phone... Bad business....

I dont think so ....I fell for alot of bull like that top 3 and guaranteed traffic until I found DP forum and there helping me get to the promise land of serps. Now my problem is I picked out keywords that where way to popular so I just changed them.

You guys are pretty close-minded. Has ANY of you ever spoken to a rep at Ideal Positions? I have worked with them since before this thread was posted, and they have ALWAYS kept me in the top three under the highest trafficked positions for my industry. Better yet, they started offering first page placement on Google in mid 2007, and I'm always there too! I have never felt lied to, misled in any way, or misrepresented. Ideal Positions has been very straightforward about how their service works. They do not offer positioning in the organic results, and have never told me that they did. What they do promise is top three placement on the first page of Yahoo! for my selected keywords, and first page of Google- and they get the job done. I don't use any other marketing agencies for my online campaigns and I get more than half of my business online! It's very simple: I have used PPC before (Overture and AdWords), and it DOES work. The problem is that I have to monitor my positions, and I don't ever want to drop off the first page- something that is very common for aggressive keywords. The vast majority of web surfers see the businesses on the first page to be the best in the industry, and I don't want anyone considering my services to ever find me on page 2. So, instead of spending countless hours managing a PPC campaign, I just have Ideal Positions do it for me! They charge a flat rate every month, and THAT INCLUDES MY CLICK CHARGES! They DO NOT charge me additional fees for clicks, tech support, or anything like that- all such services are included in my FLAT MONTHLY RATE! I absolutely LOVE this company, and I can't help but laugh inside at the business owners that can't do the research for themselves. Have fun on the 12th page! :)

Who wants to have some fun and give them a sandboxed website to work with? :D

I guess it won't work for sponsored ads though.

If you're interested in guaranteed placements I'll SEO your site for the keyword phrase 'gkdghe98yto4n3rhntyyniewtv8u3wgv8qw9tgwm4tguv9n4gc3icog8m14c2m0t24n2t53bvt52' - number 1, guaranteed. What do you say?? LOL.

i can tell you my experience with this scam company:
i have signed up with this company & after a few days that i saw what false company this is & they scammed me in i contacted them but they laughed at me that i can not back out so i complained to the BBB once my official got to them they called me up that if i will not back off with my complaint "they will send their guys to me & straighten me out"
i think that this is more than enough to "STAY FAR FROM IDEAL POSITIONS!!!!!
they also threatened me that they will mess up my website so again i can tell you one thing: "STAY FAR FROM IDEAL POSITIONS!!!!!
