After a few months of hard SEO work, you finally get your client to the top of Google for their favourite terms. Then they start complaining that they're not top of the other search engines Of course I can tell them if we keep up the good work on Google, the other rankings will follow, blah, blah.... But what I really want to tell them is that Google gets 10 times the traffic of the others combined, and to get their priorities right. Of course, I won't vent like this. The customer is always right A familiar story, though, I'm sure.
There is another problem. I would never tamper with SEO work for the sake of ranking on Yahoo/MSN. It might negatively impact your Google rankings.
I always try to do my best concerning the onpage and the off page factors. This method is used to be successful in the three big SEs. Otherwise I'm fed up with customers. Nowadays I'm thinking to change. I guess i will trade on the Internet instead of earning money for customers for little money
this is true but it is necessary that u must specify all this things to your client b4 taking the project. u must aware then about search engines and traffic about yahoo and msn.so at the end they can't complain about it.
and i thought that ranking on msn and yahoo is much easier and pages appear on top earlier than in google... Does it depend on keyword/niche or on the whole SEO technique?
Customers always wants more, wants to be ranked higher, etc. Our industry is like that... if you donm't like it, simply build some big sites in a niche, then sell advertisements... I found it to be better in the long-rum Steve
MSN is definitley easier to rank for, but Yahoo can be a pain in the as.s sometimes. I just don't want to spend ages trying to sort out Yahoo when I could be getting better and better results on Google. Bad use of your time, if you ask me.
Msn is fastest to crawl website, if you get top in google, than forbear to get top position in MSN, Yahoo.
