I want to address this question to all mods, I am just want to get some light with the following

What if I and my customer discussing for something and I need to post my affiliate link for him to check something. Do I still get an Infractions because I gave my affiliate link for a certain program?

Unlike other members who seen multiple spam private message promoting their affiliate link, my point here is that I will only post my affiliate link because someone ask it or I need to give my affiliate link because of the nature of our conversation.

I hope someone give some light with this question...

    thanks
    eD

Affiliate links are not allowed in posts. Check the FAQ.

Furthermore, you MAY NOT post threads to promote affiliate programs via PM, via masked links, or by linking to landing pages which promote your affiliate link.

If they flat out ask for your affiliate link (and not just a generic recommendation to a site, service, etc.) that's fine in a PM. However, I find it extremely unlikely anyone is going to ask you for it.

For example, if I were an affiliate with PRWeb, and one of my press release clients asked me a general questions like "where can I distribute the press release I hired you to write?" it would be inappropriate for me to reply with an affiliate link. If they were already planning to distribute through PRWeb, and then asked for my affiliate link specifically so they could sign up under me (I don't have one btw - just hypothetical), then it wouldn't be an issue to send it. Hope that clarifies.
