(Forgive me for my poor English, I may use unnecessary words.) Actually, I have two questions: 1. Do .com, .net and .org domains also treated with legal stuff too? 2. I have a domain which is a model of a cellphone company - like G1 of Google G1 (not that I have g1.org ). And I live in Turkiye, not in the USA. Would I be compelled to give this domain to the company, because of the legal stuff? I'd appreciate if you'd answer me in plain English .
Yes, it's still trademark infringement and it doesn't matter where you live or who it is registered to - it can be taken.
Domains are controlled by ICANN, and they'll have no problem taking the domain from you, and giving to the proper company (its really just a few clicks for them )
I heard s.o. who had a domain including a Tv or radio name, his domain has been taken by court order in Turkey. take it in your language: domaini bir tv-radyo ismi içerip de dava edilip elinden domaini alınanı duydum Türkiyede.
